firecrackers. Children should be careful
while bursting firecrackers.
Eid-ul-Fitr
Eid is an important Muslim festival. It
comes at the end of the month of fasting,
called Ramzan . On this day, people wear
new clothes and visit the Idgah and offer
special prayers called Namaz . They hug
and greet one another. Many people do
charity on this day. Sewain is a popular
dish of this festival.
Mahavir Jayanti
Lord Mahavir is the twenty-forth Jain
Tirthankara . His birthday is celebrated as
Mahavir Jayanti. On this day, people take
out processions and offer food to people.
Budh Purnima
Budh Purnima is celebrated to mark the
birthday of Lord Buddha. People of
different faiths worship their Gurus and
teachers on this day.
