Fuel and Pollution
Most vehicles need petrol or diesel as fuel, which causes air pollution. Their
consumption is increasing with every passing day because the number of
vehicles is increasing. At present, effort is being made to use electricity to
run many vehicles. We have to find a solution to the problem of air
pollution.

• Different types of vehicles are called means of transport.
• Different vehicles need different types of energy.
• Vehicles can be grouped as per their speeds.
• Normally, vehicles are grouped into means of land, water and air transport.
• The means of land transport need roads or railways to move.
