injured. He also advises people how to live a
happy and healthy life.
In a town, there are government and private
hospitals. Doctors work in them. Some doctors
have also opened their nursing homes and clinics.
Some doctors treat specific diseases; they are
called specialists; for example, a heart specialist
treats heart diseases while an eye specialist treats eye ailments.
In villages, there is shortage of doctors. The government has opened
primary health centres and dispensaries in villages. Medical workers work
there to give medical help to people.
Animals too need medical help when they fall ill or get injured. A
veterinarian treats animals. There are animal hospitals in large cities.
Driver
You can see drivers all around you. When you
need to go inside or outside the city, you take a
bus. It is the driver who takes you to your
destination. Your school bus is also driven by a
driver.
A driver leads a hard life. He has to work for long hours daily. His job is
becoming increasingly more difficult with the increasing number of vehicles
on the road.
