People of this state like to wear colourful dresses. They wear tight pyjamas and long
shirts with a colourful Himachali cap, which is like a mark of their identity. The
important festivals of Himachal Pradesh are Shivratri and Dussehra. The popular folk
dance of this state is Nati . They speak Hindi and Punjabi.
Uttarakhand
The hilly state of Uttarakhand has its capital at
Dehradun. It is well-known for its hill stations, such as
Mussoorie, Dehradun , Almora, Nainital etc. A large
number of people visit its holy places which include
Kedarnath, Badrinath, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Gangotri

Northern West Bengal
The northern region of West Bengal is hilly, the
important town of which is Darjeeling, a famous hill
station. Tea plantation is the main occupation. It is well-
known for its fine variety of tea. It is connected to
Jalpaiguri by the toy-train .
