19 Rama

Rama and I

We can learn many things from the life of Rama. He was an obedient

son. He suffered many difficulties for the sake of his father. Today, he is

worshipped as God.

Rama was a prince of Ayodhya. He was the eldest son of King

Dasharatha. The king had three queens and four sons.

When the king grew old, he wanted to make Rama the king.

The third queen of the king was Kaikeyi. She wanted that her son

Bharata should become the king and Rama should go to the forest

for fourteen years.
