18 Early Man
Early Man and I
Long, long ago, people did not live like we do today. They did not have
houses, schools, clothes, vehicles, telephones and all that you can see
around you. They did not know how to grow and cook food. They did
not know how to speak. How did they live then? Read here.
Many, many years ago, man lived like wild animals. He went from
one place to another in search of food. He lived on trees or in caves.
Then, he was called Early Man .
Early Man ate fruits and vegetables that grew in the forest. When
he did not get them, he ate leaves and tree roots.
He saw that some animals hunt other animals. He threw a stone at
one animal. This gave him an idea that stones can be used as tools.
Now, he used stones to dig tree roots and pluck fruits from trees.
