Natural Vegetation, Wildlife and Man
Man is the only living being who can modify change to the environment. Sadly enough, he has used his
power of modification in a negative manner, it has caused a havoc to the environment. He has cut
down trees and cleared the forests only to grow his food, construct buildings and roads, lay railways and
cables, and meet many more needs. As he has interfered with natural vegetation, so has he done with
wildlife. He has domesticated and reared a large number of animals for his personal uses. He uses
many animals for transport and also keeps animals for recreation and security. However, his greed was
not satisfied with these. So, he thought that hunting was a good means of recreation, so he hunted out
a large number of wild animals. Many species have be come extinct or critically endangered due to his
reckless ways.
