• In peninsular India, the coastal plains are located along the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

Islands and You
v Islands are very popular among tourists. They are normally away from noise and din of the
cities where you can enjoy the rising sea waves from the forested hills. Several among the
Andaman and Nicobar islands are visited by a large number of tourists. Some of the islands
are still inhabited by primitive people, who live like Early Man. It is not permitted to go to
these islands.
