and officers. In the Parliament,
the Members of Parliament
(MP’s) make laws for the entire
Rashtrapati Bhawan Supreme Court of India
country. The Supreme Court of
India is also located here, which is the highest court of law. There is also a

High Court here. All countries of the world have their embassies or offices
here.

As a Tourist Place

Delhi has been ruled by a large number of kings, so it has a large number of
old and new monuments. The Iron Pillar and Purana Qila are ancient
monuments. The Red Fort and Qutb Minar are medieval monuments. A

number of modern monuments like the India Gate and Lotus Temple have
also been built here. There are a number of religious places including Birla

Mandir and Jama Masjid. Delhi is home to a number of places where
children like to go, like Pragati Maidan, Dolls’ Museum, Nehru Planetarium
and the Zoo.
