               January 1950.

               economic planning for the all round development of the country through Five Year Plans. Still there exist
               many social-economic problems.
            v India is also an active member of several international organisations. These include the UN, NAM, SAARC,
               WTO IMF, BRIC, BIMSTEC etc.
            v The improvement of relations with our neighbours is one of the pillars of India’s foreign policies.
