National Emblem
            Our National Emblem has four lions seated back to back, so only
            three of them are visible from any one side. It has a Chakra below
            the lions with a bull on the right and a horse on the left. It is an

            adaptation from the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath.


               National Flower
            The Lotus    is our National Flower. It stands for beauty, fertility and truthfulness.


               National Animal
            The Tiger    is our National Animal. It stands for strength and valour.


               National Bird

            The Peacock     is our National Bird. It stands for beauty and pride.





















            Constitution :  the supreme law of the country.
            sovereignty : a country being able to govern itself freely.
            socialism      : a theory by which all people are equal.
            secularism     : the idea that the country or government has no religion and people of all religions are
                             equal.
            democracy      : the idea that people elect their representatives who rule on their behalf.

            preamble       : an introduction to a book or document.

            • Our national goals are the ideals which we strive to achieve. These are sovereignty, socialism,
                secularism and democracy.
            • We identify ourselves with our National Symbols.
            • We have specific national symbols.
