Bombay High            is an offshore oilfield
            from where crude oil is mined. It is used
            to produce petrol and diesel.


            Due      to     these      economic         activities,
            Mumbai is also called the                   economic
            capital of India.



                As a Tourist Place

            If you visit Mumbai, you can find a
            large number of beautiful heritage

            buildings. Their architecture is of fine                                   Bombay High
            quality. So, a large number of tourists visit here. Some of the important

            places of tourist interest are the Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Juhu
            Beach, Chaupati, Nariman Point, Jahangir Art Gallery, Essel World etc. The

            Elephanta Caves have rock-cut temples and are a great sight.

                Climate, People and Culture


            Being near the sea, Mumbai has a moderate climate. It is neither cold nor
            hot. People from all over India visit here in search of work, so we                             can find
            different shades of culture, dress, language and food. About 42 percent

            people are Maharashtrians who speak the Marathi language. As there are
            people from different regions in large numbers, Hindi, English, Gujarati

            and other languages are spoken here. Most people here wear modern
            dresses, but traditional dresses can also be seen. You can find all kinds of
