                                                     Secularism in the World

At present, we see that religious bias is restricted to very few countries in the world. Broad-minded
political leadership and the secular outlook of many developing nations are helping the countries to put
religion out of the realm of national affairs. Globalisation, to a large extent, has also helped many
countries to come together. Leaders have realised that to build a prosperous nation, one needs mutual
understanding, and enlightened outlook, cooperation, and tolerance. Religious intolerance does
hamper the growth of a nation. It is only when people cooperate with one another and do not let their
personal faith interfere, then they will progress.
