Distribution of Resources
Distribution of natural resources is not even on the land. Some resources might be abundantly available
in certain parts of the world and not available in other parts. For example, oil is found in plenty in the
gulf countries but it is very less in the Asian countries. In the same way, diamond and gold are found in
plenty in African countries but they are found in less amount in the European countries. Thus, the
distribution of resources in the world is highly uneven. All the countries of the world are
interdependent in terms of resource availability as no country is self-sufficient in every resource. This is
because of the different landforms as well as different climate all over the world. Also, the number of
people living at any place and their dependence on the resources vary. Therefore, exchange of
resources among countries is required for the economic development of every country.
