Most people in Chennai speak Tamil while educated people mix a lot of

English words in Tamil, so it is called Madras Bhashai .

Chennai is hot round the year, so people wear cotton clothes.

Rice is the staple food of Chennai. The well-known dishes here include
dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, upama and rasam.

busiest one in India in terms of
passenger traffic. It has four main

railway terminals. Metro Rail is
